Scheduling & Appointments

Coordinate provider schedules, patient appointments, confirmations, and waitlists with automation hooks for reminders and follow-up actions.

Document Management

Store, classify, and share care documentation with retention controls, version history, and signature workflows suitable for regulated healthcare records.

AI Assistants

Use clinical AI assistants for triage support, care-plan suggestions, and communication drafting with safety review controls and human approval loops.

Authentication

Elderwise supports OAuth2 authorization code flow with PKCE for user-delegated access and API key authentication for server-to-server workloads. Access tokens are short lived and refresh tokens are rotatable. Scope examples include patients.read, careplans.write, analytics.read, and integrations.manage. For regulated environments, enable IP allowlisting, signed webhook verification, and mandatory multi-factor authentication for administrator accounts.

Rate Limiting

Rate limits are enforced per organization and credential to protect platform stability: 120 requests per minute for standard endpoints, 30 requests per minute for heavy analytics queries, and 10 requests per minute for bulk export jobs. Response headers include X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and Retry-After. Contact support for enterprise burst limits when onboarding historical data or running high-volume integration migrations.

SDKs

Official SDKs are available for Node.js, Python, and Java, with typed models, retry middleware, webhook signature helpers, and pagination utilities. SDK releases are aligned with API changelogs and include healthcare-specific examples for FHIR resources, appointment reminders, and compliance audit exports.

Environments

Production, Staging, and Sandbox environments available. Sandbox includes synthetic patient data and mocked billing for safe development.
